The auto manufacturer just launched its first ever car with a solar roof charging system, which can power up to 60% of the car’s battery, the company said.⁠

The technology, which is being added to Hyundai’s latest version of the Sonata Hybrid and will be later introduced to other vehicles, is meant to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.⁠

A Tesla model S have a battery capacity of 100Kwh, this means that you would need more than 8 days of continue sunlight (and I'm ignoring any energy loss during the process of charging batteries).
