This week has been an unforgettable experience as we travel to some deep rural areas of the Southern Province of Zambia during this drought and dry season. We had the opportunity to meet our sponsor sisters, one girl we sponsor for each of our boys. They are Lyness (13), Civiness (9) and Vera (6). We met the whole family who recently lost their dad and were forced to move south but during the drought their crops didn’t do well so they often have hungry days. We brought so many gifts, some necessary and some fun. Mason taught the big brothers to play American football and we taught them to play UNO. They showed us their garden and gave us some greens called rape as well as some wooden stools they carved for us. Our families are now joined and bonded for life! I will pray for them and send them gifts often. You too can sponsor a child (or 3) thru the @worldvisionusa website in my bio. It truly makes a difference. Not just in one child’s life but in the whole village that might benefit from a fresh water well, school, goat gifting or farming program. We are seeing firsthand the work #WorldVision does and it is truly heaven sent. 💫 📷-@heathernklinger

What a blessing to meet them in person! How do you like working with world vision USA? Are you able to write and receive letters or updates from your sponsored children? There are a lot of sponsorship programs out there, but they’re not all created equal. The one we sponsor through has recently taken some heat for the allocated money not actually going to the children 😓 But if we stop her sponsorship then she’ll get nothing, so that’s out of the question for us. Anyway, I was just wondering what your experience with WorldVision was like. We’d like to sponsor more but are weary of who to go through.

I hope to go on a mission trip centering on children in my future. Your post is making my heart long for it even more. I traveled to rural Alaska in my 20s before having children and haven’t been able to go again as I started my family shortly after. My youngest is five and my son has autism so traveling for extended periods is not an option right now. I do local things but I definitely have a heart for serving children in need globally as well as in USA. God bless you.

@melissajoanhart I sponsored a beautiful girl from Zambia for many years. I often wonder what happened to her once she left the program. I enjoyed corresponding back and forth with her and making sure her family was taken care of when making purchases for them. Was truly a blessing to help someone I never got to meet. Peace and Blessings to you. 😍🙌👏

World Vision is amazing. Our non- profit #wellspringfortheworld partners with them to bring safe drinking water to the people of the world. We are currently funding water projects in the African countries of Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia.

How AWESOME!!! I hope ur not offended when I say I'm impressed. Its Beautiful when ppl take the time and opportunity to help others, especially in far away places, and rural areas too. May God continue to bless you all. Maybe one day I will do the same.💗

Thanks for sharing your heart on here. We can know celebrities a lot better these days with social media. Okay that sounded old 👵🤣 Sometimes it isn't for the better but you are fun to follow and have causes that are close to your heart. ♥️
