✨🐱 Cats were considered sacred in ancient Egypt – they were often mummified and buried in special cemeteries. According to the Greek historian Herodotus, if a cat died in an Egyptian household all the inhabitants would shave their eyebrows!
This life-size sculpture was made over 2,300 years ago and dedicated to the goddess Bastet, who was often represented as a cat. It’s lavishly adorned with gold ear and nose rings and a silver collar.

@totaldingdong I would’ve thought you’d know exactly what virtue signalling is, as you seem to do a lot of it. White men, really- Do you often allege things are race-specific in a derogatory manner? So basically, you didn’t answer the question, because you know the honest answer disassembles your ridiculous argument, whatever that might be. Egypt is somewhere you wouldn’t want to live and bring children into the world, ie. it’s a shithole country. And this priceless piece could very well have been destroyed in the meantime had the Brits not bought it from them. I’m not writing a great deal about it at all, the more pressing question is why are you so without self awareness? I merely pointed out that there’s no issue with it being in the British Museum. It’s safe there. I mean, I imagine you can read.. ?

I lost a lot of money when I started binary options because I met the wrong people who misguided me by taking my money, I almost gave up on any online business, not until I met @helen__sharpe I didn’t take her serious but decided to give the last try surprisingly it was so legit I withdrew and got my first profit and it was unbelievable until after consecutive trades I was sure it wasn’t a dream,I promised to spread and share my testimony about the good work and my experience with her thank you so much @helen__sharpe

The fact is that cats were commensal with humans in Anatolia long long looooong (like 12.000 years ago)before they became fashionable in Egypt:) Turkish Angora cat been the ancestors of all the long haired cats in the world and Van cat believed to be in Noah's ark hence loves swimming... But the media always gives this image of cats and Egyptians only for some reason

@totaldingdong Hmm, where’s that, Egypt, Richmond, Virginia? Haha! You’re such a massive liar. We both know you’d be in a gated community had you actually been living and working in Egypt. We both know why that would be. And we both know you’re actually thousands of miles away form there. Loooser

@totaldingdong A guy running an account called ‘totaldingdong’ does not live in Egypt. Nice lie you have there. But I suppose that’s all you have. Most places have 5000 years of history. I’ll go wherever I like.
