Bill signed a law banning assault weapons and limiting high-capacity magazines on September 13, 1994. Over the 10 years the measures were in effect, mass shooting deaths declined. It's time to reinstate the ban. gavindeschamps @barringerlock the likelihood of that happening is slim. Everyone in my family who can conceal carry. All the kids know how to use guns and are taught how to properly use them. Assault weapons are made up words by the main stream media to scare you. A good guy with a gun will always over power a bad guy with a gun.

markfuurin Rather than a ban let's think about a strict federal licensing and registration system for firearms (with an emphasis on psychological screenings.) That way people can have whatever guns they want as long as they pass and maintain certain requirements, and register each weapon appropriately.
