filipoviicc @alramirez0899 i totally agree with you, i mean i first heard about her when the news about the movie came, but i don’t think she won’t fit in the role because she’s black. i think that darker skinned girl would be a better fit because she’s a mermaid and, ariel especially, they get out of the water from time to time. but she doesn’t have anything that looks like arielle. she is pretty, but she’s not near looking like arielle.

harriett.http Honestly I hope that Disney won’t mess it up this thing of representation. I mean, is they casted her as Ariel I hope that they will cast other black actress for Ariel’s sister and a black actor for Triton. If there is just one black character and the other one are white, where is the representation? It would be just more disrespectful, but it’s just my opinion

xx_maria.rose_xx I think that she's an amazing actress but she doesn't look like the Ariel that we are all used to seeing as kids growing up. It has nothing to do with race, but in my opinion Madelaine Petsch should fullfil the role of Ariel

micamohnen @kritinagc I said it wasn't that bad but nothing wow. And he wasn't the protagonist.. Can't imagine him as prince Eric 🤦🏻‍♀️ Does he even know how to make another accent? He hadn't had to do another accent for Dunkirk.
