I'm a middle easter woman, because of my name (don't wear a head scarf) I've experienced more prejudice and bigotry than you could ever have imagined. In school at work, in my community where I live. People egging my car, my house. Being called abhorrent things and being told to go back where I came ftom. I've been assaulted and had the police try to arrest me for trying to defend my self, in my own home. Where they tried to kick my windows in and attack me. I know what it's like to be the outcast, the overlooked and hated for my heritage, and color. Although I was raised here all my life a lot of people treat me and my siblings like we don't belong and with hatred. So believe me I know how it feels.

I hate that we all still use “us white people” or “us black people” like we are completely different species. We are the same. We bleed the same, hurt the same, have to do the same things to stay alive. So why do we act as if it’s not that way? Why does the color of skin matter so much that some people are afraid to even leave their houses? It blows my mind that we have evolved so much on the things that don’t matter yet we barely have in the things that do matter the most. How do we except to ever even have a moment of peace in the world when we let something so insignificant as the color of our skin divide us in such significant ways?

I get what you are saying but why do you not acknowledge you are part white also. You never speak out for the other part of your heritage. I started watching you on Greys and to this day following you I’ve never seen a positive post about white people. I agree with some of what you say. But just wish every now and then you could or would at least acknowledge you are white also and maybe say something positive about that. I’m not trying to be rude but you are a great guy and I for the most part enjoy your post but just thought I’d ask. Still love watching you on Greys and will always follow you I just wondered so I thought I’d ask.

I live an hour outside of Ferguson. There does need to be a conversation. There does need to be some kind of change. Body cameras were a good start but that's not where it needs to stop. For all cases involving police brutality and gun violence in and out of police involvement. I do not have a specific standpoint on the michael brown case because theres so many stories that I honestly couldnt have an opinion on it if I tried, but I support the people who do. The way you speak, jesse, is very passionate and very eloquently. I have alot of respect for you. To future progress and joy.

I guarantee, a white kid has been shot and left in the street for a certain amount of time. It’s time we stop making this a hate crime, a black on white crime, and just making it CRIME! There are terrible people no matter what colour, race, religion you are, and we are no better by pointing it out as those committing those crimes! Let’s just start standing up against injustice vs turning one another continuously on one another! #AllLivesMatter

Stop bring up Michael Brown and adding him to the conversation. He wasn’t some innocent hunted individual. He was a criminal who assaulted multiple people including a store owner, a store customer and ultimately a police officer inside of the patrol vehicle and outside of it before he was shot in self defense. Associating home with this movement discredits what it stands for.
