gianna_mary95 im Latina specifically Puertorican and my Boyfriend is Hmong. I love being able to share both worlds and learn so much from his culture and him learning mines and pretty muxh combining them into are own. Before we even met I had a friend who was also hmong and did a presentations of her culture and i ended up wearing the traditional clothing and Not because i wanted to just do it for fun but because I love learning about new cultures and appreciating each and everyone in a respectful manner and now im happy that i live both worlds and keeping myself very opened minded to continuously learn. For all the indians sticking their noses in things that don't even belong to them aladin is an arabo-persian tale ARABO-PERSIAN and this type of style is found in middle east north africa also in asia if people have papers that makes this look exclusive to them show them! And I've seen indian jewleries before and it looks nothing like what Arden is wearing so just chill!

ericarlindsey I think it's beautiful. Although I'm not from this culture, I don't see it as appropriation. I see it as culture appreciation. She's not mocking or using this in any malicious way. For those who are upset, try to look at it from a different perspective. When you're visiting other countries and you're wearing a cultural/traditional outfit, are you appropriating or appreciating? Remember that when you're renting a hanbok in Korea; a kimono in Japan, get tattoos in Chinese or any other Asian language, etc. Be happy that someone embraced the beauty of your culture and perhaps share a significance to it.
