Happy World Lion Day! I truthfully did not know this was today until just recently, but any bit of awareness that can be raised about one of our planets most recognizable and beloved species is wonderful. Only around 25,000-35,000 lions roam the plains and jungles of Africa and Asia, a drastic cut from the hundreds of thousands that ruled the land just a few decades ago. With their habitat and population still in decline, the existence of this powerful feline rests on us to correct the path we put them down.
