Friday’s National Day Parade at the Padang was a special celebration as we marked our Bicentennial, but not everyone could be there. So the parade went to the heartlands yesterday, and more people could join in the party together!

The carnival at Bishan was one of several across Singapore, including Geylang Serai, Jurong East, Punggol and Woodlands. The crowd was enormous, and the mood, electric. Glad to see so many participating in the nation’s birthday celebrations so enthusiastically! – LHL (MCI Photos by Betty Chua)
