mart_bull We were backing off them when they were attacking and not closing down quick enough with 2 or 3 players. It means the lads have to put in more effort but they are athletes aren’t they, and that’s why we have subs. Lanzini took too many touches all the time, when we play quick one touch football it changes the dynamics. Wiltshire, when will you learn not to dive into tackles, for one you look stupid laying on the floor and two that’s how you injure your ankles and knees! Only one game, hope they learn from it. grant_sharpe Diop has potential but at the moment he is naive in terms of his positioning and reading of the game. He's also lacking a bit technically but I think he will improve to become a very good defender. Balbueno is pedestrian and this causes him to be out of position on too many occasions. I don't know much about Cardosa but I hope he can be the answer to our defensive problems. Saturday wasn't terrible but we just got punished at the back by a very good offensive team. eddieboxshall Defence need to be sharper on reading their opponents. Walkers pace should have been the first thing addressed with creswell. He was far too slow to react . To beat or play like great teams you have to learn how to think like them ..... fact!!! This needs to be a hard early lesson of how the season is going to be

danjoepinner @moonbear7820 well they know how to win with mixture of beautiful and ugly, afraid I agree with MP. Tactical fouls need booking for persistent use,when I played studs down your Achilles would ruin your game, happened far to often yesterday,looks innocuous at time ,perhaps var.Will be added to look at this.

johnedwardbolt Long tedious conveyor belt of signings but still lost nil 5 at home. I know it’s against the obvious 1-2 this season but yawn yawn another poxy long slog this season.

danjoepinner @bellsbayley if you look at City whole team defends,we need to do the same ,but always last line of defence gets the blame, need to press high to protect back line.
