vegannuiloa Hawaii is actually one of the only places on earth where the Indigenous People Native to the Hawaiian Islands don't have any of their Native Lands, no Reservation, no place in Hawaii which is Native Hawaiian. It's a product of unbridled American greed, racism, bigotry, white supremacy, the evil belief of American Manifest Destiny, and countless White and Asian people claiming it as their own. It's unique in the world in that everything you do there is utterly inappropriate because of the gravity of the injustices perpetrated against the Hawaiian Kingdom and People. I hope you can use your platform to bring light to these ongoing atrocities. New Zealanders gave all the best land to the Maori. Hawaiians can't even live in Hawaii because they can't afford it, and it's been taken over by people like Mark Zuckerberg​and and his ilk, who own Hawaiian land whilst Hawaiians are forced to move to Las Vegas and California

yesiamjustin The only real hawaii things I saw on this special were opihi and poi. We stereotypically use mostly 3 prong spears, hunt pigs with dogs and knives, and he didnt meet up with any actual hawaiians. I'm sure citizens from the hawaiian kingdom could have taught him some real cultural traditions. He didnt even cook in an imu. I was very disappointed because I love watching @gordongram. Pretty much watch all of his content religiously. Sadly he didnt do hawaii justice.

vegannuiloa Well actually Native Hawaiians are the indigenous people your local boy chef seemed to be unaware of. "everyone had to come from some other place and my people came from the Philippiness"??? Nah. He confuses being a brown boy born in Hawaii with being Hawaiian.

honey_lynn_garcia I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this show, I love seeing you in a more vulnerable state. Usually you are teaching but on this show you are able to listen and experience proving you’re never to old or to good to learn something new.
