So excited to finally announce I’m on the September cover of @healthmagazine! We live in a world where we are constantly surrounded by retouching and filters, and we don’t even realize it - it’s become the new norm, creating unrealistic expectations. That’s why I loved the idea of doing this shoot unretouched, to take a step towards embracing our true, raw self. kellimcunningham I don’t get why people are “proud” of a gorgeous supermodel with an amazing face and body when she gets a cover and says “don’t adjust my body to make it even more amazing”. How is that what people should be proud of these days like she’s soooo “strong” in doing this. You wanna see strength look at Selma Blair if you need a celebrity. I appreciate that Kate chose not to lie to us with this cover shot..but come one now don’t we have bigger things to celebrate and worry about? Just saying. #sharestrong

sasha.serdyukov I love this but it also makes me sad that showing an un-retouched picture in today’s society is something that has to be so brave and vulnerable, ya know? you look beautiful because you are a beautiful human, and we should all always be posting pictures showing that the real versions of people are the most beautiful, because that’s true!

svetlana78lucia When I was a teenager I was ashamed of how I look and long after, till my thirties. And when I finally accepted how I look, I was free of any chains. Soon I started to exercise, to eat better and smarter and even now I am not looking absolutely perfect, I am satisfied. What I want to tell you? You have time to correct what you want.

I really wish this message gets embraced by all women.. we are tired of all these mystifications and all the majors that keep pushing such innatural beauty standards..women get more and more insecure and stuck in this perverse game.. love yourself, respect yourself and don’t care about others..

jersey_john_1970 So Nice to see this post. Too often celebrities have photos taken of them showing them at their best or worst and maximizing the effect either way. This is such a beautiful picture of and something that we should see more of. Beauty is more than a touched up and p-shopped image. And you flaunt it.
