In lush greenery, Rama lounges in the center between his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana. 🌳 This forest exile scene is one of many captured in the #Ramayana, an epic narrative composed by the Sanskrit poet Valmiki around the 5th century B.C. Exploring the themes of morality, kingship, and Rama's status as a divine manifestation (or avatar) of Vishnu, the Ramayana tells the story of Rama’s rescue of his beloved wife, Sita, after her abduction by Ravana, an evil demon with ten heads.
