Here’s a rare live update on Instagram - I’m in Detroit working with NEWCC and the @honnoldfoundation to install solar systems on a handful of local homes. Which happens to be a really wholesome way to celebrate my birthday this weekend.
A few years ago my girlfriend’s family started donating to the Honnold Foundation to help me celebrate my birthday. I don’t really like gifts and I don’t need any actual things, but I do really appreciate the chance to have a bigger impact through the Foundation.
If anyone wants to help me celebrate this year I’d appreciate a reoccurring donation of any amount to the @honnoldfoundation. There’s a link in my bio for anyone who’s willing to chip in. Happy birthday to me! Thanks :)

3 days ago was the most amazing day at work.
It was a HUGE honor to work side by side with @alexhonnold and NEWCC partnered with @honnoldfoundation and @distributedpower (Pictures of the second install are on my page)
I missed the first day and I thought I missed my chance to meet Alex. But lucky for me, lighting stuck twice. I regret that I was playing it cool n quiet, cuz I didn’t want to be a bother. But I’ve been climbing for 10 years, I’ve spent weeks climbed in Yosemite and I’ve looked up at the bottom of El Cap. I knew, more then anyone at that job site, what this man did. I was jumping inside but didn’t say that ‘I’ve been watching your climbing since moonlight buttress.’ I was living/climbing in Thailand when I read he free soloed El Cap, n I explained to my friends that he basically climbed to the moon with no oxygen tank. Alex has taught us with hard focus and persistence we can achieve the unthinkable.
And!!!, he’s a really chill nice guy, easy to talk with, and a solid worker. I’ll have him on my crew any day 😉😎 Thanks again @alex___honnold . Come back through, we have more work to do. 🌞 and if u enjoy @the_art_forest leaf leather bag we would love to send you a notebook! 🍃🌏🌎
