The Vogue Talent Contest, now running over more than seven decades, has helped launch the careers of journalists, authors, poets, playwrights and even our very own Vogue staff members. Now entries are open for 2019’s contest, with the winner of each category (writers and photographers) receiving £1,000, and their work published in the January 2020 issue of #BritishVogue and on Vogue.co.uk as the prize. Entrants must be between 14-25 years of age and the closing date for entries is Friday 30 August. Click the link on bio for more information on what to submit to be in with a chance of winning.

@britishvogue @britishvogue I find the age limit of this competition to be, well... limited in its thinking... so many talents blossom and grow as people mature. To suggest via an ageist selection process that only ‘young’ talent is worth pursuing surely lacks a critical thought process ... and fails to take into account societal differences that often prevent individuals from differing socioeconomic, cultural, etc., backgrounds from growing into their true Self as early as they might... thank goodness ageism of this kind did not exist in the past ... because the idealisation of
