@psy_cass I went in to purchase the newly stocked @juviasplace I am magic foundation for my kit. After finding it hidden in the corner I noticed that the shades were displayed from lightest to darkest (shades 740 to 100). If it were any other brand I wouldn't mind because that is the way those cosmetic brands market their product. So....on top of the fact that all 42 shades weren't on display and were not even available. I advised the Ulta associate in a respectful manner that the display was incorrect " she said that was the way Ulta had advised them to display those foundations. I then went on to show her the display juvias place posted on their IG of the Ulta display and it has shade 100 being first and 740 being the last. That's now what Juvias place is about. There is a cultural reason why those shades were numbered that way. On top of the fact that the display in this particular Ulta store is 3 shelves. All of the lighter shades were on the first two rows and all of the darker shades were on the bottom shelf. It wasnt even lit down there. I then called Ulta corporate to address my concern since nobody in the store cared. Again, respectful however my feelings were hurt so I was speaking very directly. But never rude, nor mean. He hung up on me. Right hand to God. In the middle of me speaking I was asked by the automated system if I would like to rate the customer service experience. After I did. The line then completely disconnected. I have a photo of the display on my IG.

@beatmeflawless Yea, I would be beyond upset and almost brought to tears too if a store didn’t display the shades from lightest to darkest as well, and had the dark shades showing more, when the makeup company purposely had it that way for white women. I would definitely contact the store and demand that they fix the display, and put the deeper shades at the bottom. There is a cultural reason the white woman catered to other white women with her makeup brand, and Ulta should recognize that.
Ok.....I literally meant NONE of that, but I bet it shocked the hell out of you when you read it, that I could possibly think like that. I bet it made me sound like a complete racist, right? I literally took everything you said, and just replaced the race. This is exactly why racism won’t die down. Because there are some out there that are still segregating color.

@beatmeflawless Im so sorry this happened to you. That associate was most definitely mistaken about that display, Juvias is not set up like that and it doesn’t look like they were given the proper displays. Hope this doesn’t discourage you from shopping at ulta again because most of us love all of our guests and really pride ourselves on giving everyone a great experience 💕

Has anyone tried the vitamin c serum? If so what did you think? I’m looking for a good one but the price point differential between brands is all over the place. I don’t mind spending a pretty penny but I don’t want to spend where not necessary. I have oily/combo skin and am prone to breakout because my skin is sensitive. Thanks in advance.

@psy_cass no. I wanted them displayed the way they were SUPPOSE to be displayed. Her foundation ranges from shade 100 to 740. When you count do you count from 100 to 740 or 740 to 100? There is a reason that NIGERIAN WOMAN. Numbered her foundation shades that way and markets them in that way.

Hey @ultabeauty I just walked into one of you’re stores looking for a chemical peel and you’re employee instead of helping me sent me to @sephora even after I kept asking question regarding beauty products!
