My phone disappeared for several hours today and then upon its discovery, I found in my photos approx 72 versions of this awesome portrait of the most important member of our family, the only physical thing I’d rescue in a fire, Scratchy, our 3rd child, Otis’s main man, who has been there since day one. I’ve spent many-a-night kidnapping him from a sleeping child’s clutches for emergency repairs. Nevertheless, he’s missing an ear. This is my favorite take of all 72, but honestly we should frame all of them. #thepillowbackdrop #intensepride

bettylucci SO CUTE! My oldest son has a teddy that has traveled the world with us. Once, we had a connecting flight out of Heathrow days after the shoe-bomber, and security was so tight that we couldn’t even bring so much as a stick of gum on the plane. They wanted us to toss Teddy in the garbage bin. We had to go back to the airline counter and wait in line for an hour to have Teddy checked in with the luggage. My son is now 17 and he still has Teddy (although he doesn’t travel with him anymore!) 🐻

mangles62 I had a stuffed alligator as a child. Allie went everywhere with me. He pretty much disintegrated from all the love. My something old at my wedding was a small piece of Allie that my Mom saved for me. I wish I had 72 pictures of him. 😇
