Why is it that this is only being brought up with people of color? What about all those immigrants that have lighter skin and speak their language? It’s always a double standard. Racism has always been around but it’s really getting out of hand since orange took office.

Sorry for that experience. Obviously, the individual who criticized you is not very educated and does not understand the value of knowing multiple languages. Hold your head up high, and know we support you and are grateful for your service. God bless you.

And I still get called the “n word” in uniform. 🤷🏾♀️ Ignore the stupid people, and keep it moving. You have to have tougher skin than this. You know your worth. You’re part of the 1% who actually join the service. Revel in that. 🤗

She is self directed Property of the United States, her conduct is actionable under UCMJ and so is any statement made by her in uniform or not with respect to the United States, Branch of Service, or her fellow Airmen.

It is distasteful to speak any language to anyone else when the majority of the people in the group don’t understand. Speak English so not to alienate anyone.
