A man lost the only person he had in life following the tragic El Paso shooting that occurred earlier this month. Antonio Basco’s wife Margie Reckard was among the 22 people killed when a gunman opened fire at a Walmart on August 3.

It was shared that Basco has no family to lean on as he copes with the devastating loss and prepares to give Reckard a funeral. Eager to let the world know how amazing of a person she was, Basco invited the community to the funeral service for his wife of 22-years. Perches Funeral Home wrote a Facebook post saying anyone was welcome to attend the services honoring Reckard on Friday, August 16th, 2019 at 6 p.m – 10pm.

Basco told KFOX14 that the time they had together was “like a fairytale.” “When I met her she was an angel and she still is. I was supposed to be strong, but I found out I’m the weak one.”

fabienne.karstanje Actually if l understood correctly the man himself didn't ask?? It's been shared on social media by someone who felt he shouldn't be doing this alone. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful thing that so many decided to go and show him love. Hope in humanity restored😊😊💕
