"This is one of the most beautiful abandoned castles Belgium ever had. Unfortunately it’s been destroyed now.😢 It took 41 years to build this castle. But in 2017 the demolishing started. velvetpower I consider it a crime of those who were the custodians of the house, never understood how this kind of property would end up in the hands of those who were unable to take care of them...what a shame!

oxford_pictionary What is the story behind the actual castle?!? Who built it ? I would love to know at least some of the actual history of these places. Otherwise it isn’t very interesting

k0ntrafact My unpopular opinion states that sometimes shambles have much more character than intact and actively used buildings. Would be interesting to visit. 👻🏚️

lexus_bean I don't get it. Why would they let a place like that go to ruin and then have to destroy it? Very sad!
