Jon Landau saw Bruce Springsteen play at Cambridge, Massachusetts’ Harvard Square Theater on May 9th, 1974 and then declared him “rock and roll future” in Boston’s 'Real Paper,' creating a tidal wave of hype that crested with the release of 'Born to Run.’ Click the link in our bio for never-before-seen photos from the legendary night. Packed. Bruce and Clarence were sitting outside the concert in Clarence''s powder blue Cadillac convertible eating ice cream cones with the top down. A really sweet ride. They were just checking out the crowd. I was with my friend Peter Brewin who knew the band. He was from Middletown, NJ and had gone to CBA high school when Bruce was there. We stopped and chatted. They had played in Providence the night before. They were the nicest folks you could inagine. What a show!

Just little clips like this make my blood boil with happiness. That picture is badass. It’d be a great black-n-white framer. I’m on a mission now. Thank you @bubrown you know MY BRUCE ❣️

Love The Boss! His music has meant so much to me throughout my life. Seen him live 6 times and every time has been incredible. Long may you run, Bruce ✌🏼
