On my heart today ✨ There is ONE thing more important than knowing God and that’s God knowing you. God only knows you at the measure of how much you open yourself to him. Often times we forget that there is a strength beyond SELF available to us. We are totally living in a world that says without saying SELF > everything. Few are talking about the harsh reality that can come from relying on self alone. There is a ceiling you will hit and a crash and burn effect. I’ve always been a self-motivated person, and that’s okay, but I cannot tell you how vital having a faith muscle is in this world. In your life. Faith to me says, YES I believe in my strength and my choices, but I cannot do this alone. I need to seek a mightier, more divine power and believe that God has a greater plan for my life than the plan I *want* for my life. Exercising the faith muscle isn’t easy, it requires the ability to let go of the things you are obsessing to control, and surrendering it to God. That thing that scares you? Surrender it to God. It is in that surrender when God walks in and shows you His power to heal, restore and strengthen you in so many ways unimaginable. There’s nothing he loves more than to unravel all of His mysteries to you. I’d rather climb the mountain of success with God and reach the top versus getting to the top and celebrating alone without God 🥰 His character is one where not only does he want to help make a difference in your life but He wants you see the difference with Him in your life 🙌🏼Suddenly you’re not just living well for yourself and in yourself. I love this so much 👉🏽What God gives you are his gifts to you and what you do with your gifts is how you give to God. 😭🙏🏽 Trust the timing of your life. Trust the impact God can have in your life. Be bold. Be vulnerable. Feel and embrace the tiny little sparks within but lean into the ROARING power and strength of God. Trust me when I say that is the ultimate power source you can plug into beyond your own personal strength 🙏🏽❤️#sundayword #onmyhearttoday

eatordrink @sonalidwi I’m reading through comments and just wanted to respond to yours... those bad days are exactly when you need the Lord and when your faith will be strengthened the most if you just push into Him. To share in only a quick way my husband struggled with addiction and had to leave for a while to get better and that was probably the hardest thing in my life. But can I tell you the moment I turned to God i found such incredible peace and comfort. Did my situation improve instantly? Not at all? Did I still get sad and cry during that time? Yes for sure. BUT God knows our frame and if you invite Him in He’ll be the one holding you while you cry. If you turn to Him and ask for help and really trust he hears then things will get better. But you have to stick through and get out on the other side of that trial to see that. If you give up on God in the middle of your trial then yea it might seem like He’s not listening, but truth is He’s trying to talk you just need to remember to listen. And for the record God did answer my prayer and now my husband is not only sober but born again. And God continues to bring us through trials because that’s life but every time He always is faithful to help us through and strengthen us. I highly suggest reading the book of Job. It’s a great testimony of how God allows us to go through trials because that’s when He really tests our faith.

cindifreakinrella Love this. I became a single mom of three at 31. My youngest was 11 month old. I was in a foreign country with no family around, just my three girls and God. 🙏🏼 Guess what? We made it. My faith hold me and reminding me I was not alone every step of the way. I knew He would guide me and protect me because He knows what we best for me. Whatever answer I didn’t have, I knew he would help me figure out God knows the plan, sometimes we don’t see until the end but I always trusted him and I knew one way or another, everything would work out for the best. #surrender. 💫

God knows us inside and out, better than we do ourselves, even, ha! I understand what you were trying to get at, but for the sake of others not being confused about the truth of Gof, I'd maybe rephrase?

eatordrink Love this and love seeing you use your platform to talk about this! I see so many youtubers and celebs talking about self strength self love etc and then wondering why they feel depressed, anxious, and empty. All of the self talk is empty if we don’t also acknowledge we need God.
