“The Same River Twice” borrows its title from the Greek philosopher Heraclitus's aphorism that “one cannot step in the same river twice.” Like a river's flowing water, Athens is a city in perpetual transformation, and its artists have long found ways to document its shifting landscapes. Presented at the Benaki Museum Pireos, in collaboration with the New Museum and the DESTE Foundation, “The Same River Twice” offers a portrait of Athens' artistic dynamism. @thebenakimuseum @destefoundation
