Phoenix is getting hotter, and the city's schedules of work and play are shifting later into cooler hours. Neighborhoods come to life at dawn and dusk, when residents hike, jog and paddleboard. Many take to the city’s 200 miles of rocky trails after dark to avoid heatstroke. And across the city, certain construction work starts in the middle of the night — not only for the safety of workers, but also because even some building materials can be affected by intense heat. (Concrete, for example, can get too hot or dry too quickly and later crack.) Even night is not the respite from heat it once was: It can still be 100 degrees long after sunset. But for some residents seeking to escape blistering temperatures, the evening is the new start of the day. That will be true for more cities as the world gets hotter. Summers in AZ have always been Hot, like a roller coaster one year is hot and the next one is cooler. Just like this summer, June was mostly cooler by 10 degrees each day then last Summer and same goes for July and August so far. There might have been a couple hot days but it then cooled down below average for many days straight. I just woke up this morning at 7am to a beautiful 84 degrees, mid eighties in August mornings is very rare. Having lived in AZ for 50 years, if this cooler summer becomes a norm, then this is climate change I can get behind.

Hi there! I'm from Brazil and our forests have been burning on the states of Amazonas and Rondônia for days! The president denies there is a problem, the Environment minister doesn't say a word and the midia doesn't report properly. Please show the world what is happening to our Amazon rainforest! It's an emergency! #sosamazonia 😰😰😰

The world has been getting hotter since the end of the last ice age. The earth has temperature based cycles, just like the seasons every year but on a larger time scale. Stop trying to scare people with SJW nonsense.

We actually have had a pretty mild summer, after a very wet winter. And people have always worked and played early in the morning during the summer. And the road crews work overnight to minimize traffic impact.

I would say summer is our winter. We stay inside out of the heat. When the rest of the country is heading inside for the cold winter months we are heading back outside. The seasons are reversed
