Had a good plan for the day today. We had a shoot, I had writing to do, podcasts to record, meetings to take. Instead I’m sitting on the couch mid the worst tantrum of the year because THE CHILD REFUSES TO GO TO SLEEP AND EVERYTHING IS SHIT😩 it’s been 30 minutes of all-out screaming and I don’t know why and it’s been a totally normal day otherwise - she’s just not having it. I have a blaring headache now and so much to do and someone asked me the other day how to balance entrepreneurship with motherhood and I can’t remember what I answered can someone remind me??🙈😑😂🙃😩😅 #sendhelp #momlife

Som många redan beskriver, hon är ”nästan” där. Att BOM inte sova alls dagtid. Vår tre&halvtåring sov 2-3h varje dag nap i 2år.

So. My daughter (a week younger than Luni) is having 3 hours nap every day as well.
Tomorrow I have an exam so I asked my boss to let me leave at noon so I can revise for tomorrow. Imagined good three hours, coffee and my papers.
All perfect, heading home, just to find out she has no intentions of going for a nap today. At all. Not going to get into details, just cried a little. Me, not the baby.
So now, two hours later, still in bed, her singing, me waving at the hours gone planned for studying.
But whatever. She is fine, I am fine. All is well ❤️ (just wish me luck 🤞🍀📚) @yoga_girl

@yoga_girl my sister completely gave up naps really early as a child, she wasn’t even two yet. My mom was home with us so in order to save her sanity she compromised with my sister.......she did not have to nap, but she needed to go have quiet time in her room for at least an hour everyday. She could play with her toys, look at books, etc., but she was to stay in that room so my mom could have some peace and time to get things done. Maybe this was just a one time thing, but if it’s not, something to consider trying. I see from above others have suggested the same too.

My toddler does this as well. I’ve started massaging her with coconut oil and lavender before bed and she loves it so much that now when she is in her worst tantrum ever I will say do you want an oily lavender rub she allows it enough that I can actually start to stroke her belly and her feet and then her head and she starts to relax and thhhhhheeeeennnnn asleep . I haven’t worked out how to do this yet with out an all out tantrum before hand but at least this works ✨

@yoga_girl The joy of parenting in ”trotsåldern”. 🙌🏼 Sometimes the only joy is to see that what’s happening is “normal” and designed to help our children grow. But sometimes I wonder if it’s we, as parents, that gets to practice our patience...😂 Sending you deep breathing and counting to 10 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️

Hahaha that “someone” who asked that question was me! But here’s another secret - when they don’t nap, THE RULES DON’T APPLY! 🤣 we were in a nap strike for 7 straight days while on vacation and my husband had to drive my daughter around each day for 45 minutes in a parking lot just so she could nap. The things you do for your kids!!❤️
