@ange.was.here Your right. I am very lucky to get to stay at home with my son. First of all I live in Canada so I had 12 months maternity leave (now you can get 18 months if you want) He only just turned 2 and I still don't want to leave him. I am an ECE so taking care of children is what I have always loved to do. I am even thinking about home schooling him. And you are right, someone does pay my way. My husband. He works two jobs and financially for us it makes sense right now. And in that sense I am lucky because my husband loves his job and likes supporting his family. Anyway, you are awesome. I 100% agree that being a working Mom is tough, for every reason you just said. In the end though being a Mom is hard. Recognizing that sahm could go through a depression doesn't take away from any other Mom. Hopefully this article can help someone because I have gone through PPD and I couldn't see it until I was on the otherside. It took making changes in my life so that I could feel better. Every Mom has a different experience. Just be supportive and kind. ❤️❤️

@millicentchristine I don't know for all the moms at home, but deciding to stay home meant that we, as a family, you may choose to live a much modest life since the mom doesn't work. And my boyfriend is just making a low-average salary. Loneliness is a real issue for stay-at-home moms, but sure working moms have important issues to. And paying the bills is an issue for both ! I don't know your life and your situation, but I'm so tired to hear justification from the moms who are working when we talk about being home, and the other way around to. Can we just accept that we live our own lives and support the others. Being a mom is being hard. Point. Love to all the moms ! (Sorry for my English, I'm french canadian...) ❤️

I stayed home for 10 years and was definitely feeling depressed. I felt so much better when I went back to work. I remember I would talk to people and during our conversation I would never have anything about me to talk about. It was horrible, it was always about the great things my husband was doing or our kids. I work part time now because I still want to be around when my kids need me. I will definitely struggle when they go off to college because my whole life revolves around them. If I had to do it over again I would have kept my job part time. I put everyone’s happiness above my own.

reading through comments saying the working single moms should find common ground & be supportive ? I’m sorry but I missed my child’s entire day to still not be able to support them as adequately as that “suffering” stay at home mom with a husband who can raise her family . Not to mention I have to wait for her husband to want to be my sugar daddy since she mistreats him & doesn’t put out because she’s bored “at home” . If I had a husband who provided me the ability to stay home - I’d be counting my blessings & gardening . JS

@roxane.veille your genuine & heartfelt . That’s beautiful. I am friends with many stay at home moms. I do not enable a mental condition or possible feeling attempting to over come them . Instead when I share my struggles and short comings with them - they’ve never seen it as competitive - but more so thank me for helping them realize they are truly not in SUCH a bad place. I’m sorry if it came off as insensitive on social media . I hope you have a great day

@ange.was.here Why does it have to be a compitition? I am a stay at home Mom, but I only have one child who is very well behaved. I can't imagine being a stay at home Mom for 5 kids or kids with special needs. I went through PPD after my son was born and it took me a while to admit it because I thought being a SAHM was too easy to complain about... Being a Mom is never easy. All mother's sacrifice something when they make the choice to stay home or not.
