We’re beyond excited to share today’s announcement of the trailblazing creative team behind Soul Train the Musical! Pictured left to right: 2019 Tony Award Nominated and MacArthur Genius Grant Winning Playwright @domorisseau, Four-time Grammy Award Winning Executive Producer @クエストラブ, 2019 Tony Award Nominated Choreographer @camilleabrown, and NAACP Image Award Winner Director @kamilahf of the Apollo Theatre.
Joining Questlove as Executive Producers are Don Cornelius’s son @MrTonyCornelius, Emmy-nominated CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker, Live Nation Urban president Shawn Gee and Devin Keudell with Bespoke Theatricals.

@questlove as a HUGE fan of you, The Roots, AND my GOAT MC Black Thought(The Gawd), I’m sad to see that you and your team are leaving out such an integral part of this Soul Train history. My mother—FLO JENKINS (of “RIGHT ON MAGAZINE”) and my Aunt—DAMITA JO FREEMAN(SOULTRAIN Dance Pioneer) should be apart of this. No one has reached out to them. I can’t understand why they would be left out. Without them, there are No SOULTRAIN Dancers and thus NO SOULTRAIN. You can make this right, my brotha. Please do. You can’t be about the culture and leave out our PIONEERS especially when they are still ALIVE. I send this to you with Much Love & Respect.
