Great to chat about VAR and rule changes on @bbcfootball What's everyone's views? Is it too much too soon.... Should everyone just deal with it and get on with it? It's all about opinions 🙈⚽️💙

VAR takes the fun of Fans, and It takes of the players and I agree to @tim_cahill . It’s much different to watching on TV, then watching in the stadium which made people takes the excitement of the fans and players . I think that the VAR in soccer is a waste of time and people don’t wanted see the replay. And play the game to make people have fun and the fans have a good time that’s what soccer and other sports are all about

Mixed emotions, been to so many games where we have lost points due to the officials sheer incompetence (Clattenberg Derby!!) and have felt hard done to as a fan, so I’m for it being made fairer but then it does kill the emotion and you’re a bit scared to celebrate just in case there’s something wrong 🙈 hopefully it will get better but if it makes it fairer then I suppose it has to be done!

If the man city spurs game is a glimpse of what's going on ie Jesus GOAL, then football is ruined can't understand that rule yet dosent apply to the defender ie a penalty for accidental handball but no goal for forward. Also do you know how long they will go back with VAR, say that Jesus GOAL would have happened 30seconds after the incident then would it have stood? @tim_cahill

Personally I love that VAR is being used. Agree on the penalising arm use b4 the goal.. but also believe those scrutinising the VAR system need to see common sense. If a person's arm is by their side and the ball comes in .. and there is definitely no attempt by the player to use said arm to influence the game. Then the goal stands!

It rubbish. I hate VAR, and believe it is killing the game. Football isn’t black and white, it’s emotions, opinions, grey areas; that’s why we love it. Use goal line technology, it’s black and white. Possibly even offside and ball in & out of play, but for everything else, leave the game alone.

Let the refs make a mistake from time to time, it’s bound to happen. Football is about making your own luck, sometimes you get away with it and others you don’t. Goal line tech is great but VAR is too much. It takes away the ‘cheekiness’ which is an ingredient of the beautiful game.
