Anyone else have trouble slowing down? I’ve been trying to recently and have to some extent but not without worrying I’m not doing enough. Slowing down is never a bad idea. Better decisions are made, more clarity is found and we see more colour/different angles/newness. #slowtheFdown #seemore #snailpace #birosketch

I usually don’t like using headphones 🎧 “any” kind as my bestie’s dad who is a great doctor at home in France keeps telling us not to use the ones you “insert” in the ear which are causing chaos to our hearing on the long term. I have been enjoying long walks for years now and I would love to be able to listen to my favorite podcasts and music while “exercising outside” and I wonder what do you use? michaelamccormac I remember what it was like trying to do everything. No one can tell you to stop. You think you know best. Time will teach you you are like a little mouse on the wheel and it feels like you can’t get off or everything will crumble around you. It’s a difficult time to get through but you have control of it. There is always tomorrow. Make you list smaller for today, get it done and start again tomorrow with what’s next. Get a little me time in there for you. It will work because you control it. Promise hugs and more hugs🥰🥰🥰

samkillip285 Hi Fearne. I love your podcasts and books. I have Dyspraxia and Autism Spectrum Condition. I always have this work until I get the job done to the best level and not stop until other people have the view that I've done well. I'm quite the people pleasing sort of person. I wish I could slow down some aspects of life so that I could get used to all the different things that are going on for me and embrace the challenges with more positivity

nicolaaamc @fearnecotton I totally relate to this post. This has made my day! I’m a school teacher and the 6weeks holidays can be great, but I also feel guilty for slowing down and therefore do lots of jobs to make up for it! 😓 then... when I go back to school... I want a break to relax! It seems silly but it messes with my head! 🥴 much love for your work xxx

chaliharding I imagine you slowing down when you draw or paint and am envious as, in my imagination, it is a peaceful time in creative flow. Just like i am envious of those who can sit with tea and a book to read mid-afternoon. But that's my perception. I find it hard to slow down too. The guilt creeps in but I acknowledge and let go...time and time again.
