Thanks to @roblympian for sending me love on this video yesterday. I was off social media when it came out. This was such a beautiful moment in my career. It was much deeper than making the lift. It was telling my coach I wanted the opportunity to get on the podium as well as chasing ROBI points. It was showing up and trusting myself that I had done the work in training to put myself in this position.

If you know my career, I’ve always been able to clean the weight, it’s always been the jerk. We all have our weaknesses and that cycle leading up to Pan Ams we worked our asses off so that even if I did run on the platform, I had the confidence and composure to stabilize it overhead.

Long story short, it’s not always gonna be pretty but if you do the work in the gym and even more work inside your own head to gain confidence and acceptance in your abilities, I believe that you can do anything.
