The Amazon is rapidly burning to the ground. Siberia is rapidly burning to the ground. The Canary Islands, Alaska, and Greenland are also on fire. That’s both tropical and polar ecosystems. Climate change is real, and if you think otherwise you’re slowing down our collective consciousness. World leaders ignoring, covering up, or worsening this issue should be tried for crimes against humanity. Our planet is literally on fire at this point, this is an emergency 🌎🕸

spencer.chadwick Listen. While this isn’t exactly a good thing 90% of people don’t know the truth. Fires in the Amazon are well below average this year. Satellite photos provided by NASA show a lot of smoke but a majority of that is from controlled field fires for farming, and none of that violates the Paris Agreement. Also, many people are making the argument that we’ll run out of oxygen if this continues to happen and that’s not true. Even of photosynthesis magically just stopped, there’s enough oxygen in the atmosphere to last us thousands of years. Besides studies conclude that the Amazon is expected to live well past 2100. Also, Trump isn’t doing nothing about this issue. He very recently spoke with (and reached out himself) to the leader of Brazil so they could make a trade agreement that would help regulate the burning of fields and some of the Amazon for the sake of ranching. Now this doesn’t mean that I don’t think global warming is real or an issue, it very much is and needs to be dealt with. I’m speaking only about this specific thing, because so many people are misinformed.
