We are pleased to announce that our Limited Edition Maki-e “Peacock” won the Readers´Choice Award (RCA) for the "Pen of the Year 2019". :) This the second Pen of the Year award in a row for Pelikan after Limited Edition “The Statue of Zeus” had won in 2018.
@penworldmagazine readers were so impressed with our Limited Edition Maki-e “Peacock”, that we are also the winner of the “Best Urushi Arts” RCA.
The “Peacock” is a masterpiece that combines the craftsmanship of Pelikan Germany based on 180 years of tradition and technology coupled with superior Japanese traditional Maki-e painting techniques. Only 111 pieces worldwide were manufactured and each fountain pen is equipped with an 18 carat, two-tone gold nib and is encased in a traditional Japanese pen box made of paulownia wood.
