According to the US National institute of space research the amount of fire can’t possibly be attributed to seasonal wildfires. The amazon holds 20% of the worlds fresh water, it is the lungs and the heart of our planet. Indigenous peoples are fighting to protect the forest with their lives. It's horrifying -- in the past year, an area the size of 500,000 soccer fields has been destroyed in the Amazon! Nearly half a BILLION trees torn down and gone... forever. 1.
