#CubsCollection: Pat Hughes. Hughes began his broadcast career in 1978 for a minor league baseball team, the San Jose Missions. After broadcasting for the Columbus Clippers in 1982, Hughes moved up to the majors and joined the Milwaukee Brewers Radio Network. In 1996, Hughes moved to Chicago and became the radio play-by-play voice of the Chicago Cubs. “For more than two decades, Pat has brought Cubs games to life for our fans as the radio voice of the Cubs.
