I was pretty emotional leading up to the appointment seeing as though that was the first time my brother and sister in law got any indication that my nephew was sick. His genetic disorder was so rare that it didn’t come up on any of the other testing. Matt and I were overwhelmingly happy and relieved to hear that Baby Leinart is perfectly healthy. But having gone through my nephew’s passing and a miscarriage myself, I have thought so much about the mommy’s and daddy’s who don’t get good news and those who struggle with infertility. It’s given me a level of empathy and understanding that wasn’t there before, and when I say I pray for you...I really do. It’s also made me unbelievably grateful. We are not all so lucky, and I never want to take it for granted. So I wrote this for all those who have loved and lost and those who have never even gotten the chance. I see u. I remember u.
