Almost 15 years ago bringing my patented 1200 watt studio strobe lights for the first time to photograph White sharks. There is something so very rewarding about doing something that’s NEVER been done before. The 3 years of dead ends, No’s, prototypes and the rip-off that almost made me give up...was worth every second. When those 6 strobes fired for the first time, it was magic and the joy of creation just takes your breath away. Making something that didn’t exist before. It took 2 years to get the 4 patents and I went on to spend the next 12 years shooting sharks in ways no one else has or could, because these are the only lights in existence. I tried to get the manufactures to make them for everyone, but they were worried about liability!!! I guess something about electricity and water spooked them. The point being, if you have an idea or a dream then go for it!!! You’ll hit walls so power through them or over them even around them, but don’t let them stop you. If you can see it, well than it’s achievable. That’s just how ideas work. It comes down to the willingness to grind through it and follow the dream no matter how far fetched it seems. Inventing studio lights that go underwater, are you kidding??? I often said to myself “Am I crazy?” And I would just answer, “no it’s not rocket science!” Well actually it was a little science, as I needed an engineer from JPL to help create the lights! Haha Seriously though. everything every product, every car, watch, doctors tool all started in someone’s head and then went to paper & eventually manifested into a reality. So don’t stop dreaming and please start taking them steps to making it become reality. I BELIEVE IN YOU. DO YOU BELIEVE IN YOU? If there’s ever a time for dreams to become reality it’s NOW!!! Our planet needs dreamers NOW MORE THEN EVER!
