ガゴシアン・ギャラリーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ガゴシアン・ギャラリーInstagram)「M Le magazine du Monde invited Sterling Ruby to take part in their Carte Blanche project—from July 19 through the end of September the magazine will share an image supplied by the artist at the beginning of each issue. Ruby recently launched S.R. STUDIO. LA. CA., his first ready-to-wear collection. For several pieces in the collection, he transferred photographs by his wife Melanie Schiff onto silk, which was then cut and sewn into garments. In Schiff’s double exposure, “Alba, Bougainvillea, UNIQUE (5660),” a reclining model is wearing a one of a kind garment by Ruby that is overlaid by an image of a bougainvillea bush that was photographed near their home in Los Angeles.
