Young activists, including Greta Thunberg from Sweden, rallied in front of the United Nations in New York on Friday calling for action to protect the environment. Thunberg, who traveled to New York on a zero-emissions sailboat to speak at the UN Climate Action Summit on September 23, has become the figurehead of a burgeoning movement of youth climate activists after her weekly school-strike movement, "Fridays for the future," spread to more than 100 cities worldwide.
