I never talked about it publicly because my house fire was after the tragic Malibu fires & not related. So many of my friends & community lost everything last year. My situation, although traumatic paled in comparison. No one in my family was hurt, loved ones poured in support & I’ve learned that stuff is replaceable. I have spent the last year rebuilding my home & my life quite literally. That experience gave my family many teaching moments & a shift in our appreciation & definition of HOME. Home is where my family is. We will soon return to our old precious remolded space. Today’s Malibu hill 🔥 was contained quickly because of the brave work of the first responders, 200 fire fighters on the ground.
