Daisy-May Demetre, a 9-year-old model who has two prosthetic legs, is set to walk the runway at New York Fashion Week for Lulu et Gigi Couture. Daisy-May was born with fibular hemimelia, a condition in which part or all of the fibular bone is missing, and underwent a double amputation when she was 18 months old. Her dad says she’s been modeling for the past year and a half. "She inspired me by showing me who she was. She takes on life with a smile on her face and she does remarkable things," he told CNN.
