Baby Michael was born with an extremely rare neurodegenerative condition called SPG50. He is one of only 60 known children in the world born with the condition, which doctors say could leave him "completely paralyzed and in a [vegetative] state by his mid-teenage years." His parents, Terry and Georgia, are racing to raise the $3 million needed to create gene therapy and a cure for Michael.
