One of the most famous details of the McLaren F1 is its engine bay, which was lined with gold to reflect the heat generated by the 6.1 litre V12 engine. Meticulously stripped, restored and rebuilt, it was then dyno tested to ensure that it generates the still-impressive 618 bhp capable of powering the McLaren F1 to 243mph before being re-installed in the car. #MSOMonth2019
