タリン・サザンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (タリン・サザンInstagram)「On my way to the clinic yesterday, I spotted my old friend @rebeccazamolo through the windows of a nail salon. We haven’t seen each other in years (we used to make YouTube sketches together) and she’s still the same upbeat, friendly girl who gets excited about, well, anything. True to her form, she decided to ditch her Sunday manicure plans and join me for a 2 hour IV fluid drip instead. Rebecca is no stranger to massive health scares. When I first met her, she was toward the end of an 8 year long fight with ulcerative colitis, in which she had several surgeries to have her entire colon removed, amidst many other things. At the time, she always seemed so upbeat and energetic that I never truly understood the grave nature of what she went through. I never knew she was on steroids most of the time (I hate mine.) I never knew how exhausted she was. I never knew that she could have died or that she could have been carrying an external colostomy bag around with her her whole life. She never complained, and even made a whole documentary of her experience to help others going through the same thing. Maybe because she was so positive and lighthearted, I didn’t fully understand just how scary that all was and I’m ashamed I didn’t offer her more support. But I’m grateful to have a new lens at which to look at any kind of sickness or health challenge, and Rebecca is the best example of just how good the other side can be if you can push through. She confessed it’s not possible to be positive ALL the time. I certainly feel the same. Sometimes you just have to grieve the life that was ...and get up the next day and keep going. If any of you have issues or family members with IBD, or you just want to feel inspired today, you can watch her documentary INSIDE/OUT in full on her YouTube channel for free. I’m looking forward to finally watching it myself this week. Thank you Rebecca for the inspiration yesterday and for swapping a mani/pedi for some quality drip time and motivation ❤️❤️ Happy Labor Day everyone! #breastcancer #her2positive #her2 #her2positivebreastcancer #breastcancerawareness #breastcancercare」9月3日 0時24分 - tarynsouthern
