Russia’s newest spaceman is no man at all… it’s a robot. 🤖
The country launched a life-size humanoid robot into space for the first time ever to carry out tasks considered too dangerous for humans.
Named the Skybot F-850, the robot can perform a slew of activities, like carrying out repairs and maintenance and even going on spacewalks.
Operators can direct the Skybot, which is 1.8 meters tall and weighs around 352 pounds, using a computer or control suit, but the machine can also work autonomously.
