We wonder how anyone can move on, we wonder how we can move on. But, in the midst of the darkest hour something remarkable happens. A source more powerful than any rage, anger and certainly more powerful than any act of terror begins building inertia like a snowball. The darkest hour suddenly is illuminated with the only thing that can end the pain: love. This painful moment in our country’s history is a reminder not only that we need more love in this world, but THAT WE ALREADY HAVE IT! It’s here. It’s inside us. Sometimes we wait and the depths of our love is held inside us because we’re taught to fear love, that love is scary, “don’t say that, don’t be too much, don’t be too open, don’t show too many of your cards.” Fear can only survive if it keeps us afraid of the one thing that can make it disappear: love. 9/11 and the pain it has caused is a call to love. It is a free spin in the love department. It is a day where it doesn’t have to be scary to love. In fact, on this day the only NOT scary thing was all the love in the streets. First Responders risking their lives. Strangers carrying strangers. Animals helping the rescue operations, helping to save humans. I moved to NYC in 2003. I wasn’t here during the attack, but I understand trauma, I understand pain and I understand loss. Because of this I also hold a deeper understanding of Love. For all the souls lost and for all those who keep them alive in memory and with the celebration of their lives, I send out my love to you! #WeRemember #911memorial」9月11日 23時11分 - theannalynnemccord

“It’s not fair!” “It shouldn’t have happened.” “It’s so horrible.” When we think about tragedy, we typically feel heartbreak, sadness, anger, rage.
