This past year was irritating. I was surrounded by some people who really tried to break me. Their was days I really did not want to go to the rink. But my athletes kept me motivated. I was in a place where people were just unreasonable. Things seemed to only operate smoothly for certain individuals. Then serious issues kept arising making things very unhealthy for athletes of mine and others. Since I would not tolerate them, I voiced my concerns. This made my life hell. I literally was harassed on a daily basis. I needed a break so, I decided to go to BC and do my national level coaching course, regroup and be around some great friends and coaches. I got sound advice from amazing people. To those people who really tried to break me, thank you. You lit a fire in me that showed how resilient I am. I had less than 3 months to come up with a game plan for my kids. I took on this challenge not really knowing if I would succeed. But I kept the faith. I recharged and began putting my ideas together in Europe. When I got back from my relaxing vacation I just executed and did not stop. Seeing my athletes today walk into our new training facility, felt so good! I just want everyone to know you are worthy. Their are people in life who will try to break you but, it is just an obstacle. Something better will come out on the other side. Always stick to what you believe in. Let people talk and write nonsense about you. It hurts but, you will always have the last laugh. Stay true to who you are and never sway from that. I promise that you will be victorious. Thank you to everyone who played a role into getting me to this point. Whether it was a conversation, house filled with all my athletes and parents rooting me on, working tirelessly, setting up meetings with important people, creating business proposals, running numbers, welcoming my athletes into their home, late night prepping and so much more.
