Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez was one of the toughest pitchers to face. He had that crazy leg kick and a number of different pitches that he would throw on any count, which made him both unpredictable and difficult to hit. On top of that, El Duque was also a fierce competitor and delivered big performances in clutch games throughout his career.

On this day at Yankee Stadium, out of nowhere he threw that first “Eephus Pitch” and I was pretty confused. But when he came back again with the same pitch, I was ready and lucky enough to time it just right and hit it over the fence.

Definitely the slowest pitch I ever hit for a homer in my career!
