SEA SHOES UPDATE: finally got involved with @エフトゥループ bathing shoes, thanks for the recommendation @skidskid! These are modelled on Victorian bathing shoes - swipe for some of my favourite bathing shoes (from the 1920s, from @batashoemuseum), followed by dresses, caps and shoes for bathing, from Weldon’s Illustrated Dressmaker, 1880, which features in my book Fashion Illustration in Britain, published by @britishlibrary 🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🍋 #DressHistory #SwimHistory #SwimShoes #SeaShoes #WildSwimming #FashionHistory
