I spent so long planning how to share this news with you. I’ve already filmed almost an entire YouTube video that we ran out of time to edit before today. I started to write a blog post, but currently have no WiFi to publish it. So instead of all the flourishy bloggery ways I dreamt of announcing this, I’m just gonna put it here in a post. Eric and I bought a house! If you know my background at all, I’m sure you’ll understand why this felt like a “will never happen to me” concept. I grew up without a lot of money, and only ever lived in rented houses as a kid. When I first moved out, I lived in a partially underground apartment-basement-place. The idea of owning a home just never felt in the cards for us. Eric and I have rented various spots all over LA, and this year after lots of saving and some strategic moves, we decided to start looking for a house to make a home. A yard for Mops, maybe air conditioning, or a dish washer? All things we’ve NEVER had before but always dreamt of. After a lot of searching and a lot of waiting, we found a house that felt so entirely us. It felt like home from the moment we walked inside. I cannot wait to share the details soon, but since things have been a bit hectic with moving in a heatwave + my leaving to go and film a new show today(!!) there just wasn’t time to share it all. So for now, here’s this goofy photo of us (not the staged, at home in the new place one I pictured) and let me just say, I am excited, I’m nervous, and I’m so happy to get to create a home with @ericneujahr. #neulywed #PLFhome
