Some days I’ll just sit in her room and hope to hold on for just a little bit longer. My oldest is texting full sentences with punctuation and sharing a few secrets with me, when I’m really lucky. Beau comes home with love notes scrawled on his leg in pink ball point pen, but he insists through flushed cheeks that they are by his own hand.
